The Winter Palettes
Starting with the Winter Palettes, I've highlighted the primary and secondary characteristics that are the determining factors in determining your season. Click on the links to see Celebrity examples for each season.
 Characteristic: Deep Secondary: Cool Deep cool coloring allows you to wear vibrant primary colors like True Red and Blue, deep neutrals like Deep Charcoal, Pure White and of course Black. Winters are the only seasons in which Black truly enhances their skintones and makes them come alive. You favor cool colors but you can wear the deepest colors of the Autumn palette as well such as Deep Chocolate Brown and Pine Green. A few best Colors: Black, Pure White, Dark Charcoal, True Red, True Blue, Hot Pink Avoid: Golden Browns, soft peach, light earth tones

 Dominant characteristic: Cool Secondary: Clear Since “Cool” is the dominant trait, its vital to steer clear of any warm colors. Stick with the cool Blues, Purples and Reds and anything that isn’t warm like golden browns or oranges. While wearing cool colors is the main concern, you also want your colors to be bold enough to match your strong coloring so soft pastels like sky blue or light lavender may be too wishy washy on you. Note: it’s common for Cool Winters to have once been Deep Winters early in life. As we age, our coloring tends to cool and soften. Power Colors: Black, White, Chinese Blue, Icy Blue, Fuchsia, Plum Avoid: warm tones like golden browns, yellows, oranges.

 Dominant characteristic: Clear Secondary: Cool & contrasting The Clear Winter looks best in clear, contrasting colors such as when she mixes bright White with dark Navy. Black will always look good on you but to maximize your coloring pair it with a bright contrasting color. Your coloring can be striking and your palette contains all of the beautiful jewel tones like Ruby Red, Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue. Just make sure they are clear and bold. Power Colors Black, Pure White, Icy Blue, Icy Pink, Hot Turquoise, True Red Icy Pink Avoid: dusty muted colors, pastels (opt for Icy versions of colors instead);
